    Creating a contract

Where can I find some help on creating a template for making a contract document with blank fields?

    Re: Creating a contract

    Hi dmedford,

Can you tell me how familiar you are with creating templates in WP?  I am just not sure what level to start with.  From your specifity in your question I am assuming you are pretty familiar - but you should just be able to create a text box with dummy fill content that you can erase when you click in the field.  So, I am not sure if I get your question or if you are looking for something specific (ie. no dummy text or something).

    Thanks

    Jay

    Re: Creating a contract

    Hi Jay,

I'm not real familiar with Word Perfect. A company that I previously worked for used it to make all there business proposals and forms, which I used alot. I have purchased it and am trying to learn how to use it. What I would like to create is a Basic Job Proposal with pre-typed info on it and blank fields where I would enter information such as Name, Address, Phone, Cost, Payment detail, and specific details of the work to be performed. I have been trying several options and cannot seem to get it together. I am also trying to rush learning the program which looked very easy as I watched someone else use that was an expert at it.

Thank You for any help or advise you can give.

    David

    Hi David

There are lots of resources on the web to get you started, I would recommend some of the following for the basics:

    http://wordprocessing.about.com/library/WPTutorials/blwptemp.htm

    http://wptoolbox.com/info/macros-and-templates.html

My apologies if I missed some folks but feel free to add them in a reply.  WP Universe is always a great resource:

And, you can always get some of our training books as well, which are listed on the website.

We also bundle in a number of templates into WPO.  You may want to see what is already available in them to see if you can use them (or learn from or tailor them to make them your own).

    Regards,

    Jay
