  • Problem uploading Lightning files to Joyent

I have been uploading my Lightning files to, and downloading those files from, the Joyent website for eight or nine months, with no problem of any kind in this synchronization process.  But, over the past week, I have persistently experienced problems in this process.  I have repeatedly received the message that ''an unknown error has ...

  • Send to Word Processor

I'd like to see the option ''send note to word processor and delete it''. I don't need the note's that I have already used.

  • HTML - Character Encoding

Hello!  One problem is that, with both Firefox and Internet Exploder, the ''Copy to Lightning Note'' sends a lot of garbage when there are accented/special characters. The result usually looks like this, and I have tried several character encodings in Firefox, to no avail:Ce projet de loi aidera, ? mon avis, ? prot?ger nos enfants. ...

  • Re: Working with notes

I have only recently started working with lightning and, unfortunately, Vista has been forced upon me; so I am not always certain what the cause of my problem is at any given time. I am a lawyer and I am finding the notebook with the outlining features extremely useful.  If an idea comes while I am editing a WP document, I can shoot out to ...

  • Working with notes

It's interesting to hear about how people are using Lightning's note taking capabilities. Also interesting is hearing about how people could see using the note tool.   Personally, Lightning has lessened my use of two applications I use everyday. I'm using my word processor less. Lightning's note tool does all I need for a lot of ...

  • Re: Folders, Notes and... Notebooks?

Interesting post.  I was reminded of a Linux note taking application called Tomboy.

  • Folders, Notes and... Notebooks?

In addition to creating new folders and notes, it would be a nice option to create new notebooks that could be loaded or closed from something like a drop-down menu in the tool-bar. Thus, one would have that much more control over content organization. Frankly, I see Lightning's real strength being its ability to organize discreet notes in a ...

  • Note names can reflect text that is no longer in the note

I see that Lightning takes the first few words of the note and uses it as the name.  That's fine.  However, if you paste in a note... then take out the first line (or words) the note name stays with the deleted text (that even before closing it).  I'm not sure this is a bug though.... but it could become a nuisance.

  • Re: Notes Disappear in Vista

Hey Chris, I just installed the program on my Windows Server 2003 - Standard Edition server and it worked just fine.  No problems at ALL!  It could be a Vista problem, but others seem to be having problems with XP Home & XP Pro as well.  Well, COREL, what's up with that?!? Stan.  FOLLOW-UP NOTE: I just logged in to ...
